Black Lives Matter revisited

This is a repost of images we captured at a Black Lives Matter rally in Atlanta several years ago. With the current state of affairs in the country, it shows that not much has changed, but hopefully a positive change is on the horizon.

With all the injustices toward black people in America recently, I’ve been trying to formulate an intelligent written response. However, with the continued murdering of our brothers & sisters, my blood begins to boil and my written response goes from intelligent to emotional. Until I can properly convey my feelings on the matter using the written word, I have decided to display the affects of these injustices through one of my preferred mediums: photography. On July 7, 2016, the #ATLIsReady / #BlackLivesMatterATL march took place in downtown Atlanta. Seeing people of all races, ages, sexual orientations and socioeconomic background come together to support us was inspiring and a step in the right direction.
