One thing that is paramount to me as a photographer is to capture as many moments as possible with family members, young & old. Although it can be difficult to think about, one day, all we’ll have left of our loved ones are memories. If I can provide photos of those moments, it definitely gives the snapshots purpose, as well as the family sweet, funny & poignant moments to look back on. So when I was chosen to capture the 36-strong Moore family, I was excited to photograph every member, from a few months old to the octogenarians. Since it was Mother’s Day weekend and we had such a large group, we decided to photograph the session in the matriarch’s carport at her home (it’s amazing what a black backdrop and proper lighting can do!). The final result: beautiful images of the Moore family that they will cherish for generations to come.
